Data protection declaration

This declaration explains what information and data is collected and evaluated by Swiss International Airports Association (referred to below as "SIAA"), how this information is used and to whom it is made available. SIAA processes data in accordance with all applicable legislation in general, and Swiss data-protection regulations in particular.

Personal data

Personal data is defined as information that relates to a particular or definable person or legal entity (i.e. their name, telephone number and e-mail address). However, this does not apply to information that can not be readily attributed to one or more people.
In principle, no personal data is collected when somebody visits or uses the SIAA web site. This is only done where needed for the provision of services offered, for orders or participation in competitions, surveys and the like, or if you contact us using a contact form. You are asked only for information that is relevant to a specific situation. Any personal data that you provide is collected and used by SIAA exclusively for these purposes. No systematic collection and analysis of personal data is done (e.g. for internal marketing purposes). We would like to assure you that we do not forward, transfer or sell your personal data to third parties except where necessary for the fulfilment of a contract that you have concluded with SIAA, or with your express approval. However we reserve the right to disclose data where we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. on account of illegal activity).
The SIAA web site contains links to offerings by third-party vendors. Although care is taken to select only vendors of the highest quality, SIAA has no influence over how these vendors use the personal data collected on their own web sites. Therefore SIAA is not responsible for the protection of data by third-party vendors linking to this web site.

Non-personal data

When using the SIAA web site, specific non-personal information is collected automatically and stored in log files. This information includes Internet protocol addresses (IP addresses), the type of browser being used, the Internet service provider (ISP), recently visited pages, the date and time as well as clickstream data. This information can not be used to make inferences about individual people and is used by us to optimise our web site, analyse trends and improve our offerings. SIAA does not use this information to target its web site users for sales or marketing purposes. This information is not linked to personal data.

Cookies and other technologies

SIAA uses cookies (small text files that are sent to your browser by the web server and stored on your computer) and similar technologies to tailor our offerings to your needs as much as possible, to get a better impression of which parts of our web site are particularly popular and find out how users move around our site. In order to constantly improve our web statistics and offerings, we also use a web analysis tool that allows us to evaluate your use of our web site. Such non-personal or completely anonymised data about the use of the web site is transferred to a server of the relevant tool provider and stored there. This server may be located outside of Switzerland. The tool provider does not make this information available to third parties. Most browsers are configured to accept cookies automatically. You can also set your browser to reject cookies by default. This may cause some features of our web site to not be available to you.

Declaration of consent

In using this web site you consent to the aforementioned use of the data collected on you for the purposes named above. If you do not agree, please refrain from accessing SIAA's website.

Data security

SIAA has put in place technical and organisational measures to protect all data against unauthorised access, misuse or loss. SIAA operates secure data networks that conform to relevant applicable technical standards.

Right to information

Anyone whose personal data is collected has the right to demand information about what data is being processed. This means that you have the right to demand the correction or deletion of collected data at any time, subject to applicable legal record-keeping requirements.

Changes to this data-protection declaration

SIAA reserves the right to adapt its data-protection regulations at any time in line with new or changing requirements. In doing so, the data-protection principles are continuously adapted to reflect data protection and security developments. Only the data-protection declaration as amended and published on this web site applies.
